I bought cassette tape recorders for seven people in 1981.

They were the sales representatives I worked with from 1981 to 1985.

Our company cars had cassette tape players, but I wanted us to listen and learn in our offices as well.

In 1973, when I was twenty-four, Mr. George Ely, the owner of an engineering company I worked for, loaned me a cassette tape player and the Earl Nightingale six tape set called Lead the Field. That had a positive life changing influence on me.

I wanted to be the Mr. Ely for others.

I created a library of cassette tapes for our team.  One of the programs was by Brian Tracy.

Now, thirty-six years later, Brian Tracy is still teaching and motivating people around the world.

I just listened to and read his book, Bullseye: The Power of Focus. It was published in 2015.

I bought the digital version for my Kindle and the audio version from Audible. It’s read by Brian himself. I love to hear him talk, so him narrating it was a bonus.

Recently I read that a technique for enhancing the memory of content in a book is to listen to the audio version while reading the book. That is, listen as you see the words on the page. I did that, and now Brian’s words of wisdom are stuck in my head like a song you can’t stop hearing. And that’s fine with me.

The entire book can be read in ninety minutes. That time invested will have incredible consequences. I am sure of it.

It is a concise, targeted, focused description of the mind set and activities people need to have and use to consistently decide what we want to do, and how to achieve that as quickly as possible.

The Chapter titles are:

Introduction: Hitting Your Target

Chapter 1: The Power of Clarity

Chapter 2: The Power of Focus

Chapter 3: The Power of Purpose

Chapter 4: The Power of Concentration

Chapter 5: The Power of Excellence

Chapter 6: The Power of People

Chapter 7: The Power of Persistence

Brian Tracy has written seventy books and produced more than eight hundred audio and video training programs. He has given more than five thousand talks and seminars to five million people worldwide.

Many people teach these principles today. I am happy that Mr. Tracy, at age 73, he is still packaging his wisdom for our education and enjoyment.

The takeaway today is that you really should buy and read Bullseye: The Power of Focus.

If you have Amazon Prime: The Kindle version is about $8.69 / The Audio is about $7.49 / The Hardcover is about $11.86
